Objective and Learning Outcomes
The objective of the workshop was to equip faculty members with essential skills to craft successful research grant proposals. This training session was part of SZABIST University Islamabad’s ongoing Faculty Development Workshop Series. The session aimed to enhance participants’ abilities in securing research funding by providing in-depth guidance on writing competitive grant applications, aligning proposals with funding priorities, and navigating the grant evaluation process.
Speaker’s Profile
Dr. Muhammad Abbas, the expert facilitator for the session, is a Professor of Management at FAST School of Management, National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, Islamabad. With over 15 years of experience in academia and industry, his research has been published in top-tier journals, including those ranked in the Financial Times (FT-50) list. Dr. Abbas has also received multiple awards from Pakistan’s Higher Education Commission, including the ‘Best Young Scholar Award’ for three consecutive years and the ‘Best Research Paper Award.’ His expertise extends to organizational behavior, leadership, business education, people analytics, and algorithmic HRM, making him a valuable asset in helping faculty members navigate the competitive world of research funding.
