Forensic Psychology Students Visit to the Ministry of Human Rights – Child Protection Institute
On 26 December 2024, as part of an academic exploration, we had the opportunity to visit the Ministry of Human Rights’ Child Protection Bureau. During the visit organized by Dr Abdur Rashid, the students of Clinical Psychology were given an overview of the ministry’s functions, their achievements, and future plans.
The session was highly engaging and offered valuable insights into their efforts to address critical societal issues. The participants were encouraged to share their perspectives and engage in
meaningful dialogue. The representatives were open to addressing their queries on topics such as child abuse, domestic violence, the rights of the transgender community, and minority rights. This visit not only enriched their understanding of the ministry’s pivotal role in safeguarding human rights but also aligned seamlessly with the topics covered in the Forensic Psychology course. It was a truly informative and thought-provoking experience.
