SZABIST University Islamabad hosted an engaging Experiential Learning Activity titled “Canva Poster Exhibition on Environmental and Social Change”. The initiative was designed to empower students to creatively explore pressing environmental and social challenges in Pakistan through digital design, visual storytelling, and the use of Canva and AI-powered tools.
The exhibition highlighted critical issues such as environmental degradation caused by unchecked development, child labor, mental health awareness, corruption, ethical use of social media, plastic and e-waste pollution, and deeply rooted societal taboos. Through creative poster designs, students translated complex real-world problems into impactful visual narratives, encouraging awareness, dialogue, and critical reflection.
The activity strongly aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goal 04 – Quality Education, emphasizing creativity, technology integration, experiential learning, and real-world problem-solving skills. Framed poster displays fostered meaningful discussions among students and faculty, promoting solution-oriented thinking and social responsibility.
The exhibition was organized and facilitated by Sana Asad, who provided hands-on guidance to students in poster design, visual communication, and effective storytelling. The initiative enabled students to enhance their digital literacy, creative thinking, and ability to communicate social messages effectively.
Through such experiential learning initiatives, SZABIST University Islamabad continues to reinforce its commitment to innovative education, digital empowerment, and the development of socially conscious and proactive change-makers.
