MOU Signing between HRD Network (HRDN) and SZABIST Islamabad

HRD Network (HRDN) and Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST), Islamabad have shown their interest to revise and renew terms of collaboration in research and capacity building initiatives and explore new partnership opportunities for cooperation in networking and knowledge sharing events on various mutual areas of interest. The parties intend to achieve this through working collaboratively and sharing resources, skills, expertise and human resource. For this purpose, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will provide framework to HRDN and SZABIST to cooperate and coordinate with each other in the areas of mutual interest on the agreed terms and conditions.

The collaboration shall be covering but not limited to areas of cooperation outlined hereunder:

  • Mentoring and counseling of SZABIST students towards Career Development and Job Placement Assistance;
  • Student placement for internships or research in HRDN or in member organizations;
  • Initiating HRDN-SZABIST joint research initiatives towards industry focused research and disseminate research outcomes in print, electronic, social media or international and national knowledge sharing events and conferences;
  • Organize, facilitate or conduct trainings for capacity building of SZABIST faculty and management staff or for student skill and career development
  • Offer joint diploma or training courses;
  • Share resources and expertise to organize workshops, seminars or knowledge sharing events on diverse subjects;
  • Organize international events for presenting research papers, reports and analysis;
  • Explore opportunities for advancement of university research faculties and funding by donors;
  • Virtual or physical exchange programs for students;
  • Foster linkages with public and government institutions, including educational departments;
  • Mutually share knowledge and expertise;
  • Mutually share facilities and resources;
  • Plan and undertake other beneficial initiatives
