As part of Professional Development Week 2026, SZABIST University Islamabad successfully conducted the fourth preparatory session for the upcoming Job Fair . The session aimed to strengthen students’ understanding of workplace professionalism, effective communication, leadership, and career readiness. Students from the Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science programs actively participated and gained valuable exposure to industry practices and professional development strategies.
The session was facilitated by Waqas Rana, Zonal Sales Manager North at Colgate-Palmolive Pakistan. Drawing upon his extensive corporate experience, Mr. Rana shared practical insights into professional growth, confidence building, leadership development, and the competencies required to excel in today’s competitive job market.
Through an engaging and interactive discussion, participants gained a deeper understanding of workplace expectations, industry standards, and the importance of continuous learning and adaptability in rapidly evolving professional environments. Students also explored strategies for career advancement, personal branding, and effective communication—skills that are critical during recruitment processes and throughout their professional careers.
The session provided a valuable platform for students to connect academic learning with real-world industry expectations, helping them build the confidence and skills necessary for future employment opportunities. By learning directly from an experienced corporate leader, participants gained practical perspectives on navigating professional challenges and achieving long-term career success.
The event was organized by Student Career Services & Alumni Relations in collaboration with the SZABIST Alumni Global Association (SAGA) as part of Professional Development Week 2026. This initiative reflects SZABIST University Islamabad’s ongoing commitment to equipping students with industry-relevant knowledge, professional competencies, and career readiness skills.
