Webinar: “Enlightenment and Economic Change”

SZABIST Social Sciences Society conducted an online session on “Enlightenment and Economic Change” for the students of the social sciences department. This session was held on 8th April 2023 at SZABIST Islamabad.

The guest speaker, Syed Muhammad Usman Masood, spoke on the mechanics of economic growth and technological progress. He focused, especially, on how the Enlightenment affected the economy through our attitude toward technology and the role it should play in human affairs, and the contribution by institutions in economic transition.

Syed Muhammad Usman Masood is an economist and a writer. He is a faculty member of the Department of social sciences at SZABIST, Islamabad, and is pursuing his Ph.D. at Ibn Haldun University, Istanbul, Turkey.
