Understanding the Nuts and Bolts of the Energy Crisis

 Dr. Usman Masood , organized an event on May 24, 2024,  in which, Mr. Asjadullah Qureshi, Assistant Director at NEPRA, spoke to students about the “Nuts and Bolts of Energy Crisis” in Pakistan. Mr. Asjad explained the structure of the power sector, all the way from generation to consumption, outlining the problems of cost, pricing, and feasibility, at each stage.

In what turned out to be a candid session, the students raised interesting questions on the economics as well as political complexities that surround the problem of circular debt. Mr. Asjad especially praised the students for their appetite and interest.
