SZABIST University Islamabad commemorated Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm, patriotic zeal, and a series of meaningful activities that brought together students, faculty, staff, and leadership in a shared spirit of national pride and reflection.

The celebrations commenced with an inspiring Guest Speaker Session under Marka-e-Haq, featuring Mr. Zaman Bajwa, Executive Director, Youth Forum for Kashmir, and Mr. Raja Faisal, renowned journalist, analyst, and Director, Center for Pakistan & International Relations. The speakers highlighted the historic struggle for independence, the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces, and the vital role of youth in protecting national sovereignty and promoting Pakistan’s positive image globally. An interactive Q&A session encouraged thoughtful engagement and dialogue among students.

Following the session, the SZABIST community participated in a Solidarity Walk to honor the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Pakistan’s freedom and security. Carrying national flags and chanting patriotic slogans, participants paid tribute to the armed forces and reaffirmed their commitment to the values of unity, resilience, and national integrity.

The celebrations concluded with a Cake-Cutting Ceremony, symbolizing unity and joy. The ceremony was accompanied by the national anthem and collective prayers for Pakistan’s peace, progress, and prosperity, creating a heartfelt and uplifting atmosphere across the campus.

These Independence Day activities not only celebrated Pakistan’s historic journey but also reinforced the SZABIST community’s collective resolve to contribute positively toward the nation’s brighter and stronger future.
