SZABIST Islamabad organized an impactful awareness seminar titled “Drug Addiction & Academic Performance” , focusing on one of the most critical challenges affecting student well-being and academic success.

The session was led by Dr. Talat Habib, CEO of Nishan Rehab Center, who shared valuable insights into the psychological and academic impact of substance use. The discussion covered early warning signs, risk factors, preventive strategies, and the importance of seeking timely professional support to ensure students’ mental health and academic continuity.

The seminar was organized by Ms. Sana Mukhtar, Program Manager BSSS/BS Psychology. Students from BSAF 2 also participated under the supervision of Dr. Iffat Rasool, Associate Professor, making the session interactive and inclusive.

This awareness initiative aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 3 (Good Health & Well-Being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice & Strong Institutions), reinforcing SZABIST Islamabad’s commitment to fostering a responsible, informed, and supportive campus environment.
