Goal Setting & Time Management – Seminar

On the 12th of December, a seminar on the topic of Goal Setting and Time Management was held by Assistant Professor Ahmed Ali Qureshi and organized by Mam Uzma Shahryar for the students of BBA 6A HRM. The session aimed to equip students with essential skills to set meaningful goals and manage their time effectively, both academically and professionally.

The seminar began with a warm introduction by Professor Ahmed Ali Qureshi, who highlighted the importance of structured goal-setting as a foundation for personal and professional growth. He emphasized that setting SMART goals—Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound—enables individuals to focus their efforts and track progress effectively.

Professor Qureshi then shifted focus to time management techniques, stressing the value of prioritization and discipline. He shared practical strategies, such as the Eisenhower Matrix, to help students differentiate between urgent and important tasks. The students were also introduced to tools like time blocking and digital productivity apps, which can optimize daily schedules.

Interactive activities were a key highlight of the session. Students participated in group exercises to identify personal goals and outline actionable plans to achieve them. A Q&A segment allowed students to seek advice on managing academic workloads while pursuing extracurricular aspirations.

The seminar concluded with Professor Qureshi sharing motivational insights and encouraging students to reflect on their goals regularly to stay aligned with their long-term vision. His practical advice and engaging delivery left a lasting impression on the attendees.

This enriching session provided valuable takeaways, equipping the HRM students with skills to enhance their efficiency and maximize their potential.
