The Department of Management Sciences at SZABIST University Islamabad successfully commenced Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) Batch 8, marking the beginning of an engaging and practice-oriented learning journey for HR professionals and aspiring practitioners.

The opening session was led by Ahmed Ali Qureshi, who served as the resource person for the day. His session focused on aligning core Human Resource Management (HRM) functions with labor law compliance, providing participants with practical insights into the legal and strategic responsibilities of modern HR professionals.

A key highlight of the session was the in-depth exploration of Job Descriptions (JDs) as the foundation of effective human resource management. Participants learned how well-designed job descriptions support recruitment, performance management, training and development, compensation planning, and overall organizational effectiveness.

The workshop emphasized experiential learning through a series of practical exercises, enabling participants to apply HR concepts in real-world scenarios. During the session, participants:

• Conducted Job Analysis to identify key responsibilities and competencies.
• Developed a Job Requisition Form based on organizational hiring requirements.
• Created market-ready Job Descriptions (JDs) aligned with industry standards and best HR practices.

The interactive activities encouraged collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving while strengthening participants’ practical understanding of HR processes and workforce planning.
