The Department of Management Sciences at SZABIST University Islamabad organized a professional Capacity Building Hands-on Workshop on Canva and AI-enabled design tools for BBA–1A students. The workshop was conducted under the supervision of Mr. Syed Shahwar Hussain, Course Instructor.

The primary objective of the workshop was to enhance students’ digital creativity and practical design skills through hands-on training in Canva, with a particular focus on the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools for content creation. The session aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and practical application by enabling students to develop visually compelling academic and professional content.

During the interactive session, students learned to design professional posters, presentations, social media creatives, and visual content using Canva’s advanced features. Special emphasis was placed on AI-assisted design tools, including automated layouts, content suggestions, brand kits, and smart visual enhancements, allowing students to work more efficiently while maintaining creative quality.

The workshop fostered an engaging and collaborative learning environment, encouraging students to experiment with digital tools and apply innovative design thinking.

The session was led by Ms. Laiba Batool, a distinguished visiting faculty member at SZABIST University with nearly three years of experience in both industry and academia. Specializing in Digital Marketing, Human Resource Management, and Supply Chain Management, she shared practical insights, industry-oriented examples, and an interactive teaching approach that greatly enriched the learning experience and ensured active student participation throughout the workshop.

Overall, the workshop proved to be a valuable capacity-building initiative, equipping first-semester BBA students with essential digital, creative, and AI-driven design skills that are increasingly vital in today’s academic and professional environments.
