Talk Show Role-Play Activity Builds Communication Skills Among BSAF Students

Islamabad, October, 2026: The Department of Management Sciences at SZABIST University Islamabad organized an interactive Talk Show Role-Play Activity for first-semester students of BSAF (Accounting & Finance), facilitated by Taimoor Khan Mahsud.

The activity focused on the theme “Giving a Child Independence”, while also encouraging students to select and discuss topics based on their personal interests. The initiative provided students with an engaging platform to express their opinions, exchange ideas, and develop confidence in communicating before an audience.

During the activity, students took turns playing the roles of talk show hosts and guests, presenting and discussing a variety of topics in front of their classmates. The discussions covered diverse subjects, including Artificial Intelligence in Education, Football, and Current Affairs, allowing students to explore different perspectives and engage in meaningful conversations.

Through this role-play exercise, students practiced public speaking, effective communication, active listening, and the art of presenting ideas clearly. The interactive format also encouraged critical thinking, spontaneous responses, confidence-building, and the ability to engage constructively with different viewpoints.

The activity demonstrated how student-centred and experiential learning can make classroom education more engaging and effective. By taking on different roles and participating in discussions, students gained practical experience in expressing their thoughts, communicating with confidence, and interacting with an audience.

Through such initiatives, SZABIST University Islamabad continues to promote interactive learning opportunities that strengthen essential academic, interpersonal, and professional skills, preparing students to communicate effectively and confidently beyond the classroom.
