Islamabad, October, 2026: Faculty members from the Department of Management Sciences at SZABIST University Islamabad Campus participated in the International Research Conference Xplore 2026, held at the University of Lahore.

Representing SZABIST were Prof. Dr. Shazia Akhtar, Head of the Department of Management Sciences, and Dr. Maleeha Shahid Sameeni, Assistant Professor of Marketing. The conference, held under the theme “Transforming Business for the Future: Innovation, Responsibility, and Inclusive Leadership in the Digital Era,” brought together academics and researchers to exchange ideas and explore emerging challenges in business and management.

Both faculty members presented their research papers, contributing to academic discussions and knowledge exchange. Additionally, Prof. Dr. Shazia Akhtar chaired a session under the Human Resource Management theme, further highlighting SZABIST’s faculty engagement in academic and research activities.

The conference also provided an opportunity to explore potential inter-university collaboration. Discussions were held with Dr. Sardar Ahmed, Head of the Business School at Lahore Leads University, and Dr. Fatima Abrar, Program Manager, BS Business Analytics, University of Lahore. The discussions focused on strengthening BS Analytics programmes and exploring opportunities for jointly organized webinars and workshops.

During the visit, the SZABIST delegation also extended an invitation to the academic community to participate in the upcoming SZABIST International Research Conference (IRC) 2027, encouraging further research engagement and institutional partnerships.

SZABIST University Islamabad acknowledges the support and encouragement of Mr. Khusro Pervaiz Khan, Head of Campus, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Asif Khan, Associate Dean, Management Sciences, in facilitating and supporting these academic engagements.

Through participation in international research forums, SZABIST continues to promote research excellence, faculty development, academic collaboration, and knowledge sharing, strengthening connections between academic research and evolving industry needs.
