The Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) at SZABIST University, Islamabad Campus, conducted a faculty training session on “Conducting Feasibility Analysis for Research, Consultancy, and Funded Projects” on 21 January 2026.

The session was led by Mr. Ahad Nazir, Associate Research Fellow at the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI). With extensive experience in technical and financial feasibility analysis, project planning, and project management, Mr. Ahad has worked with leading national and international organizations and regularly serves as a trainer and mentor in feasibility and consultancy-related domains.

Faculty members from multiple departments actively participated in the session, which highlighted the critical role of feasibility analysis in the success of research proposals, consultancy assignments, and funded initiatives. Through practical, real-world examples, participants learned how feasibility studies help funding agencies and stakeholders evaluate project viability, risks, resource requirements, and anticipated impact.

The session encouraged active discussion around proposal development, resource assessment, budgeting considerations, and common challenges faced during project planning and implementation. This capacity-building initiative contributed to strengthening applied research and consultancy practices at SZABIST Islamabad and aligned with SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure).

The training concluded with an interactive Q&A and experience-sharing segment, followed by the presentation of a token of appreciation to Mr. Ahad Nazir in recognition of his valuable expertise and contribution.
