SZABIST University Islamabad successfully concluded the 4-week FinTech Certification Program with an inspiring closing ceremony and an insightful guest session by Ms. Sonia Farooq, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at UBank, on the topic “Mindset Required for a Sustainable FinTech Ecosystem.”

During her session, Ms. Sonia highlighted the importance of resilience, adaptability, ethical leadership, and forward-thinking mindsets in building a sustainable fintech ecosystem. She emphasized how innovation must be balanced with financial inclusion, regulatory compliance, and long-term value creation to ensure responsible growth in the digital finance sector.

Over the course of four intensive weeks, participants gained hands-on learning and practical exposure in key fintech domains, including:

• Understanding FinTech, RegTech, and Blockchain in Pakistan

• Designing and operating payment gateways

• Leveraging Artificial Intelligence in financial services

• Developing credit card scoring models

• Applying market segmentation and customer analytics

The program concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, recognizing the dedication, commitment, and successful completion of the certification by all participants.
