The CHRP Batch 6 – Day 11 featured an insightful and highly engaging training session on “Labor Union Management in Organizations,” followed by a Town Hall discussion on “Role of Labor Union & Its Management,” held at SZABIST University Islamabad.

The session was led by Mr. Ansar Warraich, General Secretary of OGDCL Labor Union, who shared valuable practical insights into labor union dynamics, collective bargaining, workplace rights, and effective union–management relationships within organizations.

The learning experience was further enriched through an interactive Town Hall Panel Discussion, bringing together distinguished professionals from diverse institutional backgrounds. The panel included:

• Mr. Najam Altaf, Director, State Bank of Pakistan
• Dr. Changiz Malik, Central Secretary, Pakistan Trade Union Defence Campaign

The session was expertly moderated by Prof. Dr. Shazia Akhtar, Head of Management Sciences, SZABIST, whose academic insight and facilitation ensured a meaningful and balanced dialogue on labor relations, organizational governance, and evolving workforce challenges.

Special appreciation is extended to Dr. Muhammad Faisal Malik for curating such a distinguished panel and to Ahmed Ali Qureshi for his continuous contribution toward enriching the CHRP program. The session provided CHRP participants with a comprehensive understanding of labor union management, policy frameworks, and practical HR leadership perspectives—strengthening their professional readiness in industrial relations and strategic HR management.
