SZABIST University Islamabad hosted an insightful and dynamic Entrepreneurship & E-Commerce Workshop for the BBA graduating class, aimed at empowering future entrepreneurs with practical knowledge and industry-driven strategies to succeed in Pakistan’s rapidly growing digital economy.
Organized by the Department of Management Sciences (BBA) under the leadership of Ms. Sana Asad, the session featured Ms. Zehra Rizvi as the guest speaker—an accomplished entrepreneur and industry professional with over 17 years of experience across leading organizations including IDR, British Petroleum, ABN AMRO Bank, Mobilink, and PTCL. She also brings strong academic credentials from London School of Economics (LSE) and LUMS.
Ms. Zehra shared valuable insights drawn from her entrepreneurial ventures, including JobZeal (Recruitment Consultancy), She-Invests (Seed Funding for Women), and Jia’s Atelier, a growing gourmet chocolate brand. Her talk provided students with a realistic and inspiring perspective on building, branding, and scaling successful e-commerce businesses in Pakistan.
The workshop covered key areas such as identifying the right niche, building trust and brand identity, leveraging social media, AI, and automation tools, creating authentic micro-brands, using data and customer insights for growth, and developing a resilient entrepreneurial mindset. Students actively participated by sharing their business ideas and challenges, making the session highly interactive and practical.
By the end of the workshop, students gained clarity on their entrepreneurial direction, a deeper understanding of digital branding and customer trust, and renewed motivation to launch and scale their own ventures. The session reinforced SZABIST Islamabad’s commitment to nurturing innovation, entrepreneurship, and industry-ready graduates.
