Islamabad, October, 2026: SZABIST University Islamabad Campus celebrated Cultural Fest 2026, bringing together the colours, traditions, music, and flavours of Pakistan under the theme “One Pakistan, Many Colours.” Organized by students of BBA-1A under the supervision of Ma’am Uzma Shahryar, the event transformed the campus courtyard into a vibrant celebration of Pakistan’s cultural diversity.

The festival showcased four major regional cultures: Punjabi, Gilgiti, Sindhi, and Pashtun. Each cultural stall featured traditional displays and a banner highlighting a landmark associated with its region, including the Badshahi Mosque in Lahore, Attabad Lake in Hunza, Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi, and Bab-e-Khyber in the Khyber Pass.

The celebrations began with student presentations featuring traditional attire from different regions of Pakistan. Students proudly showcased embroidered dresses, shawls, shalwar kameez, waistcoats, and turbans, reflecting the distinctive clothing traditions of their respective cultures. The presentations were complemented by a variety of traditional dishes prepared and brought by students, offering visitors a taste of Pakistan’s diverse culinary heritage.

The festival continued with traditional folk music and cultural dances, creating an atmosphere of celebration across the campus. Music and performances representing different regions brought students together and highlighted the richness of Pakistan’s artistic and cultural traditions.

A key highlight of the event was the visit of Dr. Shumaila, Program Manager, and Ma’am Uzma Shahryar to the student stalls. They interacted with students, explored the cultural displays, learned about traditional clothing and customs, and sampled the food presented at the stalls. Their participation and engagement added to the festive atmosphere and encouraged students to share the stories behind their cultural traditions.

Cultural Fest 2026 provided students with an opportunity to celebrate their heritage, appreciate regional diversity, and strengthen connections through shared cultural experiences. The event highlighted the importance of recognizing and respecting different traditions while celebrating a common national identity.

Through such activities, SZABIST University Islamabad continues to encourage cultural awareness, student engagement, and a sense of community. The celebration reinforced the message that Pakistan’s cultural diversity is a shared strength that brings people together.
