The Department of Management Sciences at SZABIST University Islamabad successfully organized a SmartPLS 4 Hands-On Workshop for Executive MBA (EMBA) students. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Muhammad Shafiq, Program Manager EMBA and MHRM, with the objective of strengthening students’ analytical and research capabilities through practical application of advanced statistical techniques.

The session provided participants with an opportunity to translate classroom learning into practice by working directly with SmartPLS 4, a widely used software for Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Students engaged in hands-on exercises covering both Measurement Model Analysis and Structural Model Analysis, enabling them to gain a deeper understanding of quantitative research methodologies and data-driven decision-making.

Throughout the workshop, participants actively analyzed datasets, interpreted model outputs, and explored techniques for assessing reliability, validity, and relationships among variables. The practical nature of the training helped students develop confidence in applying analytical tools to business research, organizational studies, and academic projects.

The workshop received an enthusiastic response from students, who appreciated the opportunity to strengthen their research skills through experiential learning. By combining theoretical concepts with practical application, the session successfully bridged the gap between academic knowledge and real-world analytical practices.
