The Department of Management Sciences at SZABIST University Islamabad hosted an insightful guest lecture titled “Pakistan’s Economy from a Fiscal Vantage Point”, providing MBA students with a valuable opportunity to engage with contemporary economic issues and policy debates.

The session featured Shahzada Muhammad Naeem Nawaz, Professor and Director of the Macro Policy Lab at Pakistan Institute of Development Economics. Organized by Syed Muhammad Usman Masood, the event offered students a deeper understanding of Pakistan’s fiscal landscape, economic challenges, and policy priorities.

Drawing on his extensive expertise in macroeconomic policy and public finance, Prof. Nawaz discussed key issues including fiscal sustainability, government spending, revenue generation, public debt management, and the broader economic outlook of Pakistan. His presentation provided thought-provoking insights into the complexities of economic policymaking and the critical role of fiscal discipline in achieving long-term economic stability and growth.
