Islamabad, October, 2026: The Department of Management Sciences at SZABIST University Islamabad Campus organized a workshop titled “Building an Employee Value Proposition (EVP)” for Executive MBA (EMBA) Semester III students. The workshop was organized by Dr. Iffat Rasool, Associate Professor, Department of Management Sciences.

The session was led by Dr. Mubarik Hussain Haider, an academician, experienced business professional, and entrepreneur with over 28 years of corporate experience. He is currently the principal shareholder and CEO of Quantum Mechanics (Pvt.) Ltd., an Islamabad-based company specializing in solar power systems and renewable energy.

Drawing on his extensive corporate and entrepreneurial experience, Dr. Haider shared practical insights into the relationship between employee value, organizational culture, and business performance. He highlighted the importance of developing a compelling Employee Value Proposition to attract and retain talented employees in today’s competitive business environment.

The workshop explored key elements of an effective EVP, including compensation and benefits, career development opportunities, workplace environment, organizational culture, employee recognition, and work-life balance. Participants learned how organizations can understand employee expectations and align them with organizational goals to strengthen engagement, improve retention, and enhance employer reputation.

The session was particularly relevant for EMBA students preparing for or already holding managerial and leadership responsibilities. It provided an opportunity to connect management concepts with real-world business practices and understand how an effective EVP can contribute to talent management, employer branding, and long-term organizational performance.
