The Department of Management Sciences at SZABIST University Islamabad successfully organized a seminar and awareness session titled “Health First – Community Physical & Mental Health Awareness Session” for BBA students. The event was conducted under the supervision of Syed Shahwar Hussain and aimed to promote awareness about the importance of maintaining physical and mental well-being in today’s demanding academic and professional environments.
The session was facilitated by Bilal Ahmed, a seasoned Functional Wellness Coach and former winner of the Mr. Islamabad 2025 title. Drawing upon his expertise in health, fitness, and wellness, he shared practical strategies for achieving a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
During the session, students gained valuable insights into essential topics including nutrition, physical fitness, stress management, mental resilience, and overall well-being. Mr. Ahmed emphasized the importance of adopting healthy habits, engaging in regular physical activity, maintaining balanced nutrition, and developing positive mental health practices to enhance both personal and professional performance.
The discussion also highlighted the growing importance of mental well-being and resilience in managing academic pressures, workplace challenges, and everyday life demands. Students learned practical approaches to maintaining emotional balance, reducing stress, and cultivating a positive mindset to support long-term success and well-being.
The session was highly interactive, encouraging participants to engage in meaningful discussions and raise questions regarding common health and wellness challenges faced by young adults. Through real-life examples and practical recommendations, students were equipped with actionable strategies to make informed lifestyle choices and prioritize their physical and mental health.
The event concluded with an engaging question-and-answer segment, followed by a vote of thanks to the guest speaker for sharing his expertise and inspiring students to embrace healthier and more balanced lifestyles.
