The Department of Management Sciences participated in Day 2 of the 28th Sustainable Development Conference (SDC 2025), organized by the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) at Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad. Prof. Dr. Shazia Akhtar, Head of Department, attended the event along with faculty members Dr. Hassan Raza and Dr. Zoya Wajid Satti, accompanied by a group of students. The day included engaging discussions on economic and fiscal planning for climate prosperity, the global energy transition, and South Asia’s shifting economic landscape. The delegation also explored the Sustainability Investment Expo, where they visited stalls featuring climate-smart technologies, circular economy solutions, and sustainability-focused business models. The visit offered students and faculty a valuable chance to learn about emerging development challenges, policy debates, and innovative approaches to sustainability.
