As part of the Faculty Development Workshop Series, a highly informative session titled “How to Avoid Predatory Journals” and “How to Increase the Visibility of Your Research” was held on July 29, 2025, at SZABIST University Islamabad.

The workshop was conducted by Ms. Romila Qamar, Associate Editor (SDC) at the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI). Drawing from her editorial expertise, she shared practical insights on identifying and steering clear of predatory journals. Participants also learned strategies to enhance the reach, visibility, and impact of their research through indexing, open-access publishing, and digital author profiles.

Organized under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Shazia Akhtar, Head of the Department of Management Sciences, the session saw enthusiastic participation from faculty members.
