“Exciting Real-Time Project Management Learning Experience!
On May 11, 2024, students from the Master’s Program in Project Management (MPM 2) had the opportunity to immerse themselves in real-time projects across Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Led by the esteemed faculty, the visit provided invaluable insights into project management in both the construction and IT sectors.
Here’s a glimpse of their enriching experience:
1️⃣ Bandhar Bridge on Islamabad Expressway: Students received a comprehensive briefing on the construction phase, with a focus on the role of the executing agency (FWO) and various planning and operational aspects.
2️⃣ Soan Bridge on Islamabad Expressway: Another insightful briefing on the construction phase, shedding light on the role of the executing agency (FWO) and key project aspects.
3️⃣ Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR): The project manager and planning engineer shared invaluable insights into the construction of RRR, highlighting the challenges faced and lessons learned.
4️⃣ Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) Islamabad: Mr. Zeeshan Khattak, HoD IT, provided a detailed overview of PSEB’s role in Pakistan’s IT sector. An interactive session followed, offering students the chance to engage and delve deeper into the subject.
5️⃣ Tunneling Institute of Pakistan (TIP): Students explored Building Information Technology (BIM) in an interactive knowledge session, discovering its applications in projects and its significance in the industry.
It was a day filled with learning, inspiration, and invaluable insights. Our students gained firsthand experience and knowledge that will undoubtedly enrich their project management acumen”
