Dr. Danish Mahmood completed his Ph.D. from COMSATS UNIVERSITY, Islamabad, (Former COMSATS INSTITUTE OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY) Pakistan in 2018. He is working as an Assistant Professor of computer science in the department of computing at SHAHEED ZULFIQAR ALI BHUTTO INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, Islamabad, Pakistan.

Currently, his research focus is on WSNs, IoT, Energy Management Systems, internet of energy and future smart homes & cities. Dr. Danish Mahmood has published his work in prestigious journals and international conferences. Besides his own contribution, he has been reviewing research articles for a number of international journals and conferences. Most prominent of which are IEEE Access, International Journal of Energy Research, Journal of cleaner production, and International Journal of Electrical Power and Energy Systems. He received Research Productivity Award 2013, 2016 and 2017 at Pak China Business Forum 2014, 2016 and 2018 respectively from the platform of COMSATS University of Islamabad.
