Dr. Khan is an Assistant Professor (Media Science) and Higher Education Commission (HEC) Approved Ph.D. Supervisor at SZABIST, University, Islamabad, Pakistan. He earned his Ph.D. degree in Journalism and Communication and a post-doctorate from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China. He was awarded the honorary credential of “Outstanding International Graduate” of Zhejiang University in 2017. He has completed his Master of Science in Media and Communication Studies from International Islamic University, Islamabad, Pakistan with distinction. Dr. Khan published his research works in top-notch SSCI Journals (e.g., Journalism and Mass Communication Quarterly, Social Sciences Journal, Media, War and Conflict, and Sustainability) and also presented at prestigious International Conferences (e.g., ICA, IAMCR) in the USA, Spain, Australia, Czech Republic, Turkey, Hong Kong, and China. He has reviewed a number of research papers for top-notch SSCI journals e.g., Journalism and Mass Communication Quarterly. He has won special project grants for his post-doctoral research titled “China’s image in Islamic World” from the “China Postdoctoral Science Foundation” in 2017. His research interests mainly focus on the areas related to China’s image construction, Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), Social Media Effects, International Communication, and Strategic Communication, etc.
