SUMMARY:Anti-Harassment Awareness Session Promotes Respect and Safe Campus at SZABIST Islamabad
DESCRIPTION:Promoting Respect\, Responsibility and a Safe Campus Environment at SZABIST Islamabad\nIslamabad\, September\, 2026: SZABIST University Islamabad conducted an Anti-Harassment Awareness Session for the new batches of MS Clinical Psychology and other MS programs in the Department of Social Sciences. The session focused on promoting a safe\, respectful\, inclusive\, and supportive learning environment for students. \nThe awareness session aimed to familiarize students with important aspects of responsible citizenship and positive campus engagement. Students received guidance on maintaining respectful interactions\, understanding their responsibilities within the university community\, and using social media in a safe\, sensible\, and responsible manner. \nThe session also introduced students to the role of the University Anti-Harassment Committee and highlighted the university’s commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful campus environment. Students were informed about SZABIST’s zero-tolerance approach toward drug abuse and extremism\, reinforcing the importance of responsible behaviour and a positive academic environment. \nThe session further highlighted the academic and student support services available at SZABIST University Islamabad\, including the Wellness Clinic and its psychological and community outreach services. These resources provide students with avenues for support and guidance as they navigate their academic and personal development. \nThe session was conducted by Dr. Aliya Abdul Hayee\, who encouraged students to embrace the values of respect\, integrity\, responsibility\, and inclusivity. She emphasized the importance of individual responsibility in contributing to a safe\, supportive\, and welcoming university community. \nSZABIST University Islamabad remains committed to promoting student wellbeing and holistic development by creating an environment where students can learn\, grow\, and participate with confidence and mutual respect. Through awareness initiatives such as this session\, the university continues to foster a campus culture where everyone feels respected\, valued\, and safe.
