Additionally\, both classes took part in a professional note-taking activity to enhance documentation\, organization\, and information management skills. \nThe session successfully promoted peer learning\, constructive feedback\, critical thinking\, and innovation—empowering students to express ideas confidently while developing impactful digital communication skills.

He is a certified patent agent and a WIPO Inventor Assistance Program volunteer. He explained the value of patents and other intangible assets. He also guided faculty on mentoring students and improving Final Year Projects for commercialization. The session supported SDG 4\, SDG 9\, and SDG 17. Faculty joined an interactive discussion at the end. ORIC SZABIST presented a shield to Mr. Shahbaz Ahmad in appreciation.

The focus was not on sympathy\, but on creating an environment where individuals with disabilities can use their talents\, contribute to society\, and reach their full potential. \nOur distinguished guest speaker\, Mr. Shafique-u-Rehman\, shared his expertise and inspiring personal experiences. He currently serves as: \n\n\nPresident\, MILESTONE \n\n\nSecretary\, Disabled Persons International – Asia Pacific Region (DPIAP) \n\n\nInternational Coordinator\, SAKURA Wheelchair Project – Japan \n\n\nChief Access Auditor\, Sightsavers International \n\n\nLead\, ILPACT Project \n\n\nThe seminar was organized by Ms. Sana Mukhtar (Program Manager\, BS Social Sciences & BS Psychology). It aligned with key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: \n\n\nSDG 4 – Quality Education: Promoting inclusive and equitable learning \n\n\nSDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities: Ensuring equal access and opportunities \n\n\nSDG 11 – Sustainable Cities & Communities: Supporting accessible infrastructure \n\n\nSDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals: Encouraging global collaboration \n\n\nThe session offered a meaningful learning experience and reminded students of an essential message: disability is not inability. Society must remove barriers and ensure every individual has an equal chance to participate and thrive.

DESCRIPTION:Teach For Pakistan Orientation Session at SZABIST Islamabad \nThe Department of Social Sciences organized an engaging orientation session for final-year BS Social Sciences students\, introducing the prestigious Teach For Pakistan Fellowship Program. The session took place on 22nd October 2025 and was facilitated by Ms. Minhail Tariq\, Senior Associate for Recruitment and Selection. \nMs. Minhail briefed students on the two-year\, paid leadership development fellowship that places exceptional graduates in government schools across underserved communities in Islamabad and Karachi. She explained how the Fellowship develops leadership skills by allowing participants to work directly with students\, schools\, and communities. \nShe emphasized that Teach For Pakistan is more than a teaching opportunity. It is a movement dedicated to building justice\, hope\, and equal opportunity through quality education. Fellows contribute at the grassroots level\, empowering students and helping communities realize their potential. \nTeach For Pakistan is part of the global Teach For All network\, which operates in 62 countries committed to ensuring that every child receives access to quality education.
