DESCRIPTION:SZABIST Islamabad’s Job Fair held on May 9\, 2023\, was a grand success\, with 63 renowned companies from diverse sectors participating\, including telecom\, media\, tech\, marketing\, finance\, and Multinational Corporations. This provided students with a unique opportunity to connect with industry leaders\, explore career paths and seek job opportunities. \nThe event commenced with an inaugural session where Mr. Ejaz Ahmed Qadri\, an accomplished entrepreneur and architect serving as the Managing Partner and Principal Architect at Qadri Associates\, shared his valuable insights on ‘the idea of success’ with the students. Additionally\, a Job Fair Forum was organized\, featuring a panel of three industry experts who provided valuable counseling to the students. These professionals included Mr. Amees Ahmed (Group EVP Marketing (DFS) at Ufone)\, Mr. Naveed Aziz (Governance Adviser for the British High Commission\, UK.)\, and Mr. Adil Omar (Performance & Improvement Manager at Ericsson – Middle East & Africa). \nThe SZABIST Islamabad Job Fair was a game-changer in the career development space. It provided a platform for students to explore different career paths and connect with industry leaders\, learning from their experiences. The event was a resounding success\, with many students taking part and seeking out job opportunities. Overall\, it was an excellent opportunity for students to gain insight into various industries and for companies to connect with talented candidates.

DESCRIPTION:Mock Interview Session \nDepartment of Management Science SZABIST Islamabad organized an activity of mock interview for the graduating students of  business administration on Saturday May 6th\, 2023. The objective of conducting mock interview was to give an opportunity to graduates to practice what to say and do during an interview and get feedback. A mock interview mirrors an actual job interview\, whether it’s face-to-face\, online\, or through a webcam. Business Executives\, CEOs and professional psychologists were assembled for preparation. Dr. Iffat Rasool and Mr. Syed Shahwar Hussain coordinated the session.

DESCRIPTION:Qawali Night 2023 – SZABIST Islamabad\n\n\n\n\nThe students of the SZABIST Islamabad campus hosted a Farewell Party on the 6th of May 2023 to bid farewell to their seniors who were leaving. The event was organized by SZABIST Social Sciences Society\, SZABIST Curtain Society\, SZABIST Literary Union\, and SZABIST Dramatic Society under the supervision of Dr. Wajid Hussain\, Mr. Naveed Ullah Hashmi\, and Ms. Sana Mukhtar.\n\n\n\nThe Farewell Party was made memorable by cultural performances\, Sufi Kalam\, and a Qawwali.\n\n\n\nAs the students bonded over their meal\, they also had the opportunity to connect and learn from the faculty and their peers. The juniors gave interesting titles to their outgoing seniors\, adding to the fun and excitement of the evening.\n\n\n\nThe program concluded with a spiritual ambiance\, created by the Qawali.

He further trained them for impactful ethical communication skills required both internally and externally at different levels of jobs.\n\n\n \n\n\nThe session was joined by the production of the Executive Development Center (EDC) and the Department of Management Sciences and was moderated by Dr. Iffat Rasool Associate Professor SZABIST Islamabad. \n\n

DESCRIPTION:A Debate Competition\n\n\n\nSZABIST Islamabad strongly believes that a healthy mind consists of a healthy body. That’s why Szabist Islamabad always tries to make its students into healthy activities which promote innovative thinking and help students to build links.\n\n\nOn 30th of April 2023\, Szabist Islamabad held a prestigious debate competition which was performed under the supervision of Ma’am Uzma Shahryar. The students of BSAF-2A and BBA 1 A had to respectively compete against each other countering the Social Issues of Pakistan. Respective judges also joined us in this event and the students were ranked with positions accordingly and awarded certificates.\n\n\nThe students gained knowledge on various topics and the event went very well and knowledgeable.

DESCRIPTION:A Visit to “Step & Cure” an NGO for the Educational and Rehabilitation Center\n\n\n \n\n\nAlmost above 240 million children are living with a disability. Children with disabilities have the same rights as all other children in the world to nurturing through attentive care\, encouragement in education\, adequate nutrition\, and social protection\, including in humanitarian situations. However\, the countries like Pakistan facing several economic and societal crises cannot stand alone to support these children. Therefore\, several nonprofit organizations are a ray of hope not only for these children but also for the state of Pakistan.\n\n\n \n\n\nConsidering social responsibility an integral part of education\, the SZABIST Islamabad enables the students to understand their responsibility toward society by engaging them in community work and visits to different organizations. Following this tradition\, the students of BBA 6 A visited the “Step & Cure” an NGO for educational and rehabilitation centers on Eid night and donated to the children.  Dr. Iffat Rasool Associate Professor at the Department of Management Sciences SZABIST Islamabad was the organizer of the visit.

The workshop featured Mr. Ayaz Ahmad\, an experienced data manager at epic games\, who provided expert guidance to the participants.\nAs an expert in the field for over a decade\, Mr. Ayaz Ahmad was the ideal candidate to lead the workshop. He provided valuable insights and practical tips to the students. Muhammad Ali Khan organized this workshop\, ensuring that the students were able to gain a thorough understanding of Tableau\, a popular tool used for data visualization and analysis.\n\nOverall\, the workshop proved to be a valuable learning experience for the students. They gained hands-on experience with Tableau and learned how to effectively analyze and visualize data. With the guidance of Mr. Ayaz Ahmad and the support of Muhammad Ali Khan\, the workshop was a great success and left a lasting impact on the students.

He focused\, especially\, on how the Enlightenment affected the economy through our attitude toward technology and the role it should play in human affairs\, and the contribution by institutions in economic transition. \nSyed Muhammad Usman Masood is an economist and a writer. He is a faculty member of the Department of social sciences at SZABIST\, Islamabad\, and is pursuing his Ph.D. at Ibn Haldun University\, Istanbul\, Turkey.

DESCRIPTION:World Health Day Celebration 🌎\n\n\n\nWe are from Szabist University Islamabad campus BBA 1A\n\n\nstudents\, we whole class participated in today’s event which\n\n\nwas held under the supervision of Uzma Shehryar.\n\n\nWorld Health Organization celebrates global health day every\n\n\nyear on 7th April worldwide to create awareness on the\n\n\nbenefits of being healthy. On this day numerous programs\n\n\nand arrangements are curated by the World Health\n\n\nOrganization. World Health Day was the first time celebrated\n\n\nworldwide in the year 1950. We enjoyed ourselves a lot and shared our\n\n\nwork with our university students as well as spread\n\n\nawareness of the World Health Organisation ( WHO) through\n\n\ndisplaying the work which we made in our class and we\n\n\nexplained to students what is World Health Day and it’s\n\n\nimportance and then we took photographs\, we had fun\n\n\nactivity in our University.\n\n\n \n\n\n• W.H.O’s mission is to promote health\, keep the world safe and\n\n\nserve the vulnerable\, with measurable impact on people at the\n\n\ncountry level.\n\n\n• It works to improve access to essential medicines and health\n\n\nproducts.\n\n\n• train the health workforce and advise on labor policies.\n\n\n• It focuses on women\, and children’s health all over the world.

His expertise and knowledge on the subject were truly impressive\, and he effectively conveyed the features and functions of LaTeX to the students. It was great to see the students engaged and eager to learn from one of our faculty members\, and we’re proud to have such a talented individual on our team.\n\n\nLaTeX is a tool that can greatly benefit students\, especially those working on their thesis. We believe that our faculty members’ involvement in such workshops not only benefits our students but also reflects the quality of education and the expertise we offer at SZABIST.\n\n\nOverall\, it was a great workshop\, and we’re grateful to Dr. Hassan Raza for conducting it and the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics for hosting it. We look forward to future collaborations and opportunities to continue to support our students’ academic growth and success.

Taking care of its social responsibility Society of SZABIST in collaboration with the Department of Management Sciences SZABIST Islamabad organized a seminar for the students of BBA 6 Social Advocacy and Community Development on “Burn Calories\, not Cigarettes” on Tuesday 21 March 2023.\n\n\nThe guest speaker Dr. Humaira Naz Altaf Associate Consultant and Professor at Shifa International Hospital and Shifa College of Medicine shared with the students the negative consequences of smoking and advised them the tips for living a healthy life.\n\n\n\n Dr. Iffat Rasool (Associate Professor) and Ms. Farah Khawaja (visiting Faculty) were the organizers of the seminar.

DESCRIPTION:NTU-Interloop All Pakistan Business Plan Competition\n\nBSAF SZABIST Islamabad students participated in the NTU-Interloop All Pakistan Business Plan Competition\, held at the National Textile University Faisalabad on March 13-14\, 2023. The event was organized by the NTU Entrepreneurship Society of Faisalabad Business School\, in collaboration with Interloop Ltd\, and was supervised by Dr. Arusa Khalid\, Assistant Professor of Management Sciences.\n\n\nThis competition was a fantastic platform for students from more than forty universities across Pakistan\, including SZABIST Islamabad\, IBA Karachi\, IBA Sakhur\, NAMAL Mianwali\, Kohat University of Science and Technology\, IIU Islamabad\, Quaid e Azam University Islamabad\, GUCW Lahore\, UMT Lahore\, and UCP Lahore\, to showcase their innovative entrepreneurial ideas and initiate their own startups.\n\n\nOur BSAF SZABIST Islamabad students gained valuable experience and learning from this event\, and we’re proud of their efforts and enthusiasm. The competition aimed not only to provide a meaningful learning experience for students but also to strengthen Pakistan’s economy through innovative ideas.\n\n\nWe’re proud of our students’ achievements and participation in this event\, and we look forward to supporting them in their entrepreneurial pursuits.

DESCRIPTION:Blood Donation Camp \nA blood donation activity was held on Tuesday 14th March 2023. Social Responsibility Society SZABIST Islamabad facilitated Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital for collecting blood donation. The main objective of this activity was to build the sense of social responsibility among the youth to help cancer patients who battle bravely against this deadly disease .The students participated enthusiastically to part their role in community building.

DESCRIPTION:13th Convocation ceremony of SZABIST Islamabad \nThe 13th Convocation ceremony of SZABIST Islamabad was a remarkable event for all the students awarded Bachelor’s\, Master’s\, and Doctoral degrees. The event took place on March 1st\, 2023 at Jinnah Convention Center\, where the live coverage of the event broadcasted on social media platforms and FM Radio 106.6. \nMadam President Ms. Shehnaz Wazir Ali\, declared the opening of the convocation ceremony. It was followed with the recitation of the National Anthem and the Holy Quran. Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed\, Chairman\, Higher Education Commission (HEC)\,was the chief guest who addressed the graduates. Along with him were the VP Academics Prof. Doc Altaf Mukati \, Board of Trustees\, Mr. Khursheed Ahmed Junejo. Also\, Mr. Shahadat Awan\, VP Development and Finance\, Madam Nasreen Haque and HOC Mr. Khusro Pervaiz Khan presented the awards to the students. They addressed the graduates with their heartwarming wishes. \nMadam President Shehnaz Wazir gave academic medals to the high achievers\, and the graduates took the oath\, then declared the closing of the ceremony. \nThe ceremony was a proud moment for all the graduates\, who were encouraged to achieve more success in their future endeavors. The event was a testament to the academic excellence of SZABIST Islamabad\, and the hard work and dedication of the students and faculty members. \nCongratulations to all the Graduates on their remarkable achievements! \n

The Ministry of Commerce and Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) organized empowering women entrepreneurs exhibition ‘Her Hunar’. It was held on 4th & 5th March 2023 at the Pakistan-China friendship center Islamabad. Students of EMBA attended exhibition activities and participated in training workshops. This exhibition provided a learning and networking platform for EMBA students.\n\n\nDr. Saqlain Raza and Mr. Shahid Jahangir Raj supervised this experiential visit.

DESCRIPTION:Skin Care Awareness Seminar\n\n\n\nGood health and self-esteem go hand-in-hand during the process of exercising and establishing good health habits. Having healthy skin is a step to confidence. SZABIST recognizes physical and mental health and well-being and aims to facilitate improvements in many areas that positively impact well-being. Ms. Amber Gillani ( Social Sciences department) arranged a seminar on 23rd February 2023 by Dr. Eram Yasir who is an aesthetic physician\, laser specialist\, and health wellness coach associated with Cosmetic Laser and Skin Clinic (CLSC). She collaborated with SZABIST Islamabad through an interactive session with students\, staff\, and faculty of campus highlighting how to improve skin and become more aware of skin conditions. The session also emphasized procedures that can be done to improve skin for optimal use and factors affecting the well-being of skin in improving daily routine. Students got skin assessments and discussed issues related to skin.

The SZABIST team has fought hard against some of the best teams in Islamabad\, and we are proud to have come out on top. However\, the BSAF SZABIST Islamabad team’s hard work\, dedication\, and strategic thinking have paid off.\n\n\n\n\n\nOur amazing team members gave their unwavering commitment and hard work\, and guidance and support of our faculty members throughout the competition. Without their tireless efforts and expertise\, we could not have achieved this remarkable feat.\n\n\n\n\n\nWinning this competition has been a tremendous achievement for us\, and it is a testament to our dedication and hard work. Carrying this legacy of promoting the social cause\, the Social Responsibility Society of SZABIST Islamabad Campus participated in the Student Ambassador Ceremony of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC) on Saturday\, 11th February 2023 at SZABIST Islamabad Campus. The main objective of the ceremony was to give the students representatives of several universities and colleges of Rawalpindi & Islamabad including BBA graduates of SZABIST Islamabad Campus a hands-on experience to develop their leadership and interpersonal skills required for social responsibility programs of Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC). The Territory Manager of Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC) Mr. Younas Awan threw light on the social contribution of the research center for cancer control and Mr. Syed Shahwar Hussain the Head of Entrepreneurship and Development Center of SZABIST Islamabad addressed the students and presented the shield to the best performers of 2022.

They acknowledged the efforts of the students for enriching the industrial practices and becoming active partners in pursuit of organizational goals.\n\n\n\nThe Day manifests SZABIST’s commitment\, in line with its vision and mission statements. Also to foster collaboration with industry for the socio-economic development of the country and develop students’ competence to apply classroom knowledge for the solutions of real-world problems.
