DESCRIPTION:Phase 1: Recreational Learning Trip to Malaysia \n“Practical knowledge is the ultimate commodity\, and is what will pay you dividends for decades to come.” Robert Greene \nSZABIST University\, Islamabad Campus arranged a recreational learning trip to Malaysia for their students for practical learning. During phase 1\, students got the opportunity to explore Malaysian development by visiting various places such as their seven types of railway infrastructure in Kuala Lumpur\, high-rises\, Petronas tower\, and especially KL tower which is a 6-storey\, 421-metre-tall telecommunication tower in Kuala Lumpur\, Malaysia. It is the world’s 7th tallest tower and Malaysia and Southeast Asia’s second tallest tower. Its construction was completed in 1994. Additionally\, students also explored local food and culture by visiting various local bazaars.

The workshop centered on the PMBOK 7th Edition\, its performance domains\, and contemporary project management software. \nThe session was held as part of SZABIST’s ongoing faculty development initiatives\, designed to keep educators aligned with global best practices. It focused on bridging the gap between theory and application in project management instruction. \nMr. Bilal Ahmad facilitated engaging and insightful training sessions\, providing faculty members with a deep understanding of PMBOK 7’s updated structure and principles. He guided them through the vision of the 7th Edition and helped them transition from traditional frameworks to modern performance domains. Faculty members appreciated the practical insights and real-world applications discussed throughout the workshop. \nAlongside him\, Mr. Aizaz Malik played a pivotal role in introducing cutting-edge project management software tools that are essential in today’s digital classrooms. His demonstration of these tools helped faculty understand how to better integrate technology into project-based courses. He also ensured that the training addressed software capabilities relevant to both academic use and industry expectations. \nThe Project Management Workshop SZABIST Islamabad has empowered faculty to modernize their instructional strategies and deliver more impactful and relevant project management education. Dr. Hassan Zada arranged the event. \nIt familiarized the students with the interface of Mendeley. Students learned how to cite a research paper using Mendeley plugin in Microsoft Word and prepare a reference list. It further helps the students how to converge one style of referencing into another style through a single click in Microsoft Word. \nDr. Hassan Zada is in the faculty of the Management Sciences department of SZABIST Islamabad Campus. Along with Mendeley Reference Manager\, He has expertise in much econometric software like SPSS\, Eviews\, Stata\, python\, Rstudio\, Latex\, and Matlab. In continuing to this an industrial trip was arranged for the students of MPM and MSPM to Tarbela Dam (5th Extension Hydel Power Project) in the Swabi district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on 28 May 2023. Project Director Mr. Javed Iqbal and his team brief the students regarding existing spillways and powerhouses and then explain the construction of the 5th extension. He explicates how the existing setup helps the nation with irrigation\, power generation\, and flood control. Furthermore\, they added the challenges faced during the construction of the project and shed light on the mitigation strategies to handle the dynamic situations. DESCRIPTION:E-Gaming Competition\n\n\n\nWe’re thrilled to announce that for the first time in the history of SZABIST\, Islamabad\, an incredible E-Gaming event took place. Our Gaming Society organized it.\n\n\nThis electrifying event brought together over 60 participants from universities\, colleges\, and professional gamers to showcase their skills and passion for gaming.\n\n\n\nParticipants battled it out in three thrilling games: Call of Duty (COD)\, FIFA\, and Tekken 7. The competition was fierce\, and the level of talent displayed was truly remarkable!\n\n\n\nWe are proud to congratulate the winners who not only claimed victory and honored with well-deserved trophies\, shields\, and exciting prize money!

DESCRIPTION:Entrepreneurial Safari to English Biscuits Manufacturers (Peek Freans) -Hattar\n\n\n\nThe department of “Management Sciences” organized an entrepreneurial safari educational trip on 24th May 2023 for the students of BBA-8 to the English Biscuits Manufacturer factory in Hattar.\n\n\n\nThe students visited it with the instructor Mr. Syed Shahwar Hussain. The educational trip was to provide a platform for our business students to gain a deep understanding of the FMCGs\, Also\,  planning\, operations\, execution\, and management of their brand. They also showed how they manage their brand w.r.t marketing\, sales\, operations\, demand\, forecasting\, distribution\, supply chain\, and finances.\n\n\n\nMr. Imran Khan\, Head of Manufacturing at EBM organized the session. The team briefed about the working of different departments\, operations\, regulatory affairs\, the changing dynamics and trends of the market along with the question and answer session.
