The purpose of this visit was to get practical knowledge of the Islamic Banking System and Islamic Banking Products which they already have studied in their subject “Islamic Banking and Finance”. Mr. Anwar Ali Gondal\, Cluster Head DIB\, and the entire staff of the branch gave detailed briefings and presentations to discuss Islamic Banking Products. Students asked so many questions related to the knowledge they already have acquired in their subject by their teacher\, Dr. Sanaullah Ansari which were professionally answered by Mr. Anwar and his entire team.\n\n\n\nStudents also visited all departments of the bank and learned the practical aspects of bank operations. Led by the esteemed faculty\, the visit provided invaluable insights into project management in both the construction and IT sectors. \nHere’s a glimpse of their enriching experience: \n1️⃣ Bandhar Bridge on Islamabad Expressway: Students received a comprehensive briefing on the construction phase\, with a focus on the role of the executing agency (FWO) and various planning and operational aspects. \n2️⃣ Soan Bridge on Islamabad Expressway: Another insightful briefing on the construction phase\, shedding light on the role of the executing agency (FWO) and key project aspects. \n3️⃣ Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR): The project manager and planning engineer shared invaluable insights into the construction of RRR\, highlighting the challenges faced and lessons learned. \n4️⃣ Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) Islamabad: Mr. Zeeshan Khattak\, HoD IT\, provided a detailed overview of PSEB’s role in Pakistan’s IT sector. Led by Mr. Muhammad Ali Khan and Dr. Sanaullah Ansari\, the study tour offered a firsthand glimpse into the world of heavy machinery production.\n\n\n\nWitnessing the manufacturing processes of Al-Khalid and Haider tanks\, iconic symbols of Pakistan’s defense prowess\, was truly awe-inspiring.  This hands-on experience brought our studies to life\, reinforcing the importance of practical learning in our academic journey. Mr Muhammad Ali Khan\, the Industrial Liaison Manager for Management Sciences at SZABIST Islamabad\, has extended an invitation for industry-academia collaboration.\n\n\n\nSuch experiential learning opportunities are at the heart of SZABIST Islamabad’s teaching objectives\, with the Management Sciences Department committed to providing hands-on experiences to students at every level. DESCRIPTION:BBA Experiential Learning Activity (Visit to Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry)\n\n\n\nDepartment of Management Sciences organized a visit for BBA 7 & 8 (Marketing / Supply Chain Management) to the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry on May 07\, 2024\, & met with Ahsan Bakhtawari\, President ICCI. He informed the students about the chamber’s operations\, methodology\, and role in promoting small and medium businesses. He encouraged the students to focus on entrepreneurship and business. He stated that educated youth should focus on starting their own businesses instead of just looking for jobs after obtaining their degrees\, he added that in this way they will become job providers instead of job seekers. The ICCI President also assured the students of complete guidance and support from the chamber regarding new ventures and entrepreneurship.\n\n\n\nMuhammad Ali\, Executive Member ICCI\, Khalid Chaudhary\, Former SVP\, Zia Khalid Chaudhry Convener Protocol Committee\, Adnan Mukhtiar\, Convener HEC were also present on the occasion. DESCRIPTION:Thalassemia Awareness – Seminar\n\n\n\nThe Social Responsibility Society SZABIST University Islamabad organized an awareness session on the causes and cure of Thalassemia on Saturday 4th of May 2024.\n\n\n\nThe main objective of the seminar was to educate the students about the causes\, symptoms\, and complications of Thalassemia\, and develop empathy for victims of disease.\n\n\n\nAir Vice Marshal (R) Aftab Hussain head of Sundas Foundation Fatima Jinnah Park\, Islamabad shed light on the growing problem of Thalassemia in Pakistan and shared the details of the contribution of Sundas Foundation for providing free medical treatment to the underprivileged.\n\n\n\nThe students gained a deeper understanding of Thalassemia’s impact on individuals and communities. Overall\, the seminar raised awareness and promoted advocacy to take proactive measures in managing Thalassemia effectively.\n\n\n\n Dr Shumaila Zeb PM.
