The goal of the Digital Teaching Practices Workshop SZABIST Islamabad was to build educators’ confidence in using digital platforms for assessments\, feedback\, and classroom engagement. \nThe workshop took place in Lab-3\, creating an interactive and hands-on learning environment. Faculty members were introduced to applications such as Google Classroom\, Google Docs\, Google Sheets\, and Google Forms. These tools were presented as part of a cohesive digital teaching strategy designed to support collaboration\, streamline assignment management\, and simplify student evaluation. \nThroughout the Digital Teaching Workshop SZABIST Islamabad\, participants engaged in practical activities\, including setting up digital classrooms\, designing online assessments\, and testing real-time feedback mechanisms. The session also addressed common challenges faced during online and hybrid teaching\, offering solutions through effective digital pedagogy. \nA key focus of the workshop was on creating effective digital assessments. Educators learned how to develop quizzes and assignments using Google Forms and how to manage digital submissions efficiently. The purpose of this visit was to get practical knowledge of the Islamic Banking System and Islamic Banking Products which they already have studied in their subject “Islamic Banking and Finance”. Mr. Anwar Ali Gondal\, Cluster Head DIB\, and the entire staff of the branch gave detailed briefings and presentations to discuss Islamic Banking Products. DESCRIPTION:Financial Accounting – Guest Speaker Session \nDr. Sanaullah Ansari has invited Mr. Syed Arshad Hussain Shah as a Guest Speaker in his class “Financial Accounting” of MBA-72E-1 on Tuesday\, 12 May 2024. Mr. Arshad is a highly qualified and seasoned professional in the fields of Accounting\, Finance\, and Taxation. Currently\, he is working as Deputy Financial Controller at SZABIST University\, Islamabad. The speaker highlighted the importance and need of Financial Accounting in business organizations. He demonstrated practical aspects of accounting practices which was a fruitful intake by the students. Many questions from the students were professionally answered by the guest speaker. \nOverall\, it was a great Experiential Learning Activity for the students of MBA. DESCRIPTION:“Exciting Real-Time Project Management Learning Experience! \nOn May 11\, 2024\, students from the Master’s Program in Project Management (MPM 2) had the opportunity to immerse themselves in real-time projects across Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Led by the esteemed faculty\, the visit provided invaluable insights into project management in both the construction and IT sectors. \nHere’s a glimpse of their enriching experience: \n1️⃣ Bandhar Bridge on Islamabad Expressway: Students received a comprehensive briefing on the construction phase\, with a focus on the role of the executing agency (FWO) and various planning and operational aspects. \n2️⃣ Soan Bridge on Islamabad Expressway: Another insightful briefing on the construction phase\, shedding light on the role of the executing agency (FWO) and key project aspects. \n3️⃣ Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR): The project manager and planning engineer shared invaluable insights into the construction of RRR\, highlighting the challenges faced and lessons learned. \n4️⃣ Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) Islamabad: Mr. Zeeshan Khattak\, HoD IT\, provided a detailed overview of PSEB’s role in Pakistan’s IT sector. An interactive session followed\, offering students the chance to engage and delve deeper into the subject. \n5️⃣ Tunneling Institute of Pakistan (TIP): Students explored Building Information Technology (BIM) in an interactive knowledge session\, discovering its applications in projects and its significance in the industry. \nIt was a day filled with learning\, inspiration\, and invaluable insights.
