SUMMARY:SmartPLS 4 Hands-On Workshop Enhances Research and Data Analysis Skills of EMBA Students at SZABIST Islamabad
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Management Sciences at SZABIST University Islamabad successfully organized a SmartPLS 4 Hands-On Workshop for Executive MBA (EMBA) students. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Muhammad Shafiq\, Program Manager EMBA and MHRM\, with the objective of strengthening students’ analytical and research capabilities through practical application of advanced statistical techniques. \nThe session provided participants with an opportunity to translate classroom learning into practice by working directly with SmartPLS 4\, a widely used software for Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Students engaged in hands-on exercises covering both Measurement Model Analysis and Structural Model Analysis\, enabling them to gain a deeper understanding of quantitative research methodologies and data-driven decision-making. \nThroughout the workshop\, participants actively analyzed datasets\, interpreted model outputs\, and explored techniques for assessing reliability\, validity\, and relationships among variables. The practical nature of the training helped students develop confidence in applying analytical tools to business research\, organizational studies\, and academic projects. \nThe workshop received an enthusiastic response from students\, who appreciated the opportunity to strengthen their research skills through experiential learning. By combining theoretical concepts with practical application\, the session successfully bridged the gap between academic knowledge and real-world analytical practices. \nThis initiative reflects SZABIST Islamabad’s commitment to equipping future business leaders with advanced analytical competencies\, research expertise\, and evidence-based decision-making skills required in today’s data-driven business environment.

DESCRIPTION:The AI in Business Lab course successfully concluded\, marking an important milestone for 2nd Semester Business Analytics students at SZABIST University Islamabad. The course provided students with practical exposure to emerging artificial intelligence technologies and their applications in solving real-world business challenges. \nThroughout the semester\, students explored and applied a variety of advanced AI platforms and tools\, including ChatGPT\, Gemini\, Claude AI\, NotebookLM\, Napkin AI\, GravityWrite\, Gamma\, ImagineArt\, Bolt AI\, and Grok. Through a hands-on\, lab-based learning approach\, participants gained valuable experience in utilizing artificial intelligence for business research\, content generation\, data analysis\, decision-making\, productivity enhancement\, and innovative problem-solving. \nAs the culminating activity of the course\, students presented their final projects\, demonstrating AI-powered publications\, business solutions\, and innovative applications developed for selected organizations and business scenarios. The projects showcased students’ creativity\, analytical capabilities\, technological proficiency\, and ability to integrate AI tools into practical business contexts. \nThe presentations highlighted how artificial intelligence can support organizations in improving efficiency\, enhancing communication\, generating insights\, and driving innovation. Students demonstrated a strong understanding of both the opportunities and challenges associated with adopting AI technologies in modern business environments. \nThe course concluded with a celebratory session and group photograph alongside Dr. Muhammad Shafiq\, Program Manager EMBA & MHRM and course instructor\, recognizing the students’ achievements and successful completion of an enriching academic journey. \nThis initiative reflects SZABIST Islamabad’s commitment to equipping students with future-focused digital skills and preparing them to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven business landscape.
