They observed how entrepreneurs develop\, pitch\, and scale their ventures\, gaining first-hand experience in innovation-driven business models. \nThis visit helped students deepen their understanding of entrepreneurial ecosystems\, venture creation\, and business innovation. This event aimed to raise awareness about climate change and sustainable living in the country. \nWe were honored by the presence of Dr. Ramesh Kumar\, Honorable Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan\, as the Chief Guest\, as well as Mr. Zia Ur Rehman\, Head of Nustainable (NUST)\, and a distinguished representative from Seven Sky Developers\, who showed their support for environmental sustainability. \nThe seminar was led and coordinated by Syed Asad Ahmed Gilani\, Project Lead of the Zero Waste Initiative at SZABIST Islamabad. Speakers shared valuable insights on practical strategies to reduce waste\, reuse materials\, and support recycling initiatives across communities. He shared actionable strategies to help students craft tech-focused CVs and perform effectively during interviews. Mr. Ahmed guided participants on aligning resumes with industry requirements\, showcasing academic projects\, and communicating problem-solving skills clearly during interviews. \nThroughout the CV & Interview Skills Session\, students learned how to build professional job applications and present themselves with confidence. They practiced tailoring resumes to specific roles and identifying key technical achievements that attract recruiters’ attention. He demonstrated real-world use cases\, particularly in the healthcare sector\, explaining how AI systems store and analyze patient data to enhance diagnosis\, treatment planning\, and operational efficiency. \nHe also discussed the ethical boundaries and limitations of AI\, emphasizing that technology’s effectiveness still relies heavily on data quality\, human oversight\, and responsible use. A major highlight of the session was a live demonstration of the Orange Data Mining app\, where students explored how AI models and clustering graphs operate in real time. Through interactive workflows\, participants gained a clearer understanding of machine learning concepts and their relevance in business. \nBy connecting theoretical knowledge with real-world examples\, this session helped students grasp the practical applications of AI and Machine Learning in modern business. DESCRIPTION:Social Sciences Students are enthusiastically involved in Community Service activities in their efforts to give back to society. \nAs part of their campaign\, students visited different Govt Schools and had multiple sessions with the students on topics related to Hygiene\, Career Counseling\, Self-defense\, Ethics\, Cultural Norms\, and Traffic Rules. They also conducted a peace walk on “Cleanliness” with hands-on training of students. Later\, they arranged some sports activities to inculcate a sense of healthy lifestyle among the young students. The school staff\, management\, and faculty highly appreciated SZABIST Islamabad Social Sciences students’ efforts. \nThe campaign was actively supervised by senior faculty member Ms. Huma Maqsood\, with an emphasis on fostering social responsibility among students. \n

The camp aimed to create awareness about mental health and provide students with tools to understand and improve their emotional well-being. Using standardized assessment instruments such as the DASS (Depression\, Anxiety\, and Stress Scale) and RISP (Rotter Incomplete Sentences Blank)\, participants were guided in exploring their levels of stress\, anxiety\, and emotional resilience. The initiative also helped students gain valuable insights into their personality traits\, fostering self-awareness and personal growth. \nThis hands-on experience not only benefitted participants but also served as a practical learning opportunity for BS Psychology students\, highlighting the importance of mental health in academic and personal contexts.

The purpose of this visit was to get practical knowledge of the Islamic Banking System and Islamic Banking Products which they already have studied in their subject “Islamic Banking and Finance”.\n\n\n\nMr. Anwar Ali Gondal\, Area Manager (VP) North\, Islamabad\, and the entire staff of the branch gave a detailed briefing and presentation to discuss Islamic Banking Products. Students asked so many questions related to Islamic banking products and services which were satisfactorily answered by presenters. Students also visited all departments of the bank and learned the practical aspects of bank operations.\n\n\n\nAt the end of the visit\, Dr. Sanaullah Ansari thanked Mr. Anwar Ali Gondal for giving their precious time on the first working day of the new financial year. They also created visually compelling posters and delivered impactful awareness sessions to local communities on topics such as diabetes\, various types of hepatitis\, dissociative disorders\, nutritional benefits\, vitamins\, and climate change. \nThe activity fostered students’ abilities to conduct in-depth research\, analyze data\, and present findings effectively. It also strengthened their confidence in public speaking and professional report writing\, enabling them to combine creativity with analytical rigor. SUMMARY:Industrial Visit
DESCRIPTION:Industrial Visit \nDr. Sanaullah Ansari arranged an industrial visit for the students of EMBA-2 and MBA-2 as part of the Experiential Learning Activity on Saturday\, 28 December 2024. Students visited Gunj Glass Works\, Hassan Abdal which is a leading glass factory in Pakistan. The Operations Manager briefed the whole production process and costing methods to the students. \nMany questions were asked by the students which were well answered by him. Later\, students visited production departments and observed the complex process of glassware manufacturing where detailed briefing was also provided by the relevant managers. \nFinally\, Dr. Sanaullah Ansari presented the SZABIST Shield to the host and they presented their gift packs to all students\, in return. \n

DESCRIPTION:Sustainable Environment Stewardship \nOn 26th December 2024\, an insightful seminar on Sustainable Environment Stewardship was held\, bringing together passionate minds from various disciplines. Students from BBA 6A – Social Advocacy and Community Services\, BBA 8A\, BSSS 4 – Development Studies\, and BSSS 6 – Research Methodology actively participated in this impactful event. \nThe seminar aimed to educate and inspire students to adopt sustainable practices and advocate for environmental conservation through collective efforts. \nDr. Abdul Razzak Khan\, a distinguished specialist in Climate and Disaster Change\, shared his profound insights on the interconnectedness of climate challenges and sustainable solutions. He emphasized the importance of proactive strategies in mitigating climate-related disasters and inspired the audience with real-world examples of resilience and innovation in environmental stewardship. \nThe seminar was organized by Dr. Iffat Rasool\, Head of the Community Services and Social Responsibility Society SZABIST University Islamabad \, in collaboration with the Research Group of BBA-8\, comprising Hamza Liaqat\, Abdullah Shujat\, Amna Sohail\, and Nargis Bashir. \n  \n
