SUMMARY:SZABIST Students Bring Trade Marketing to Life Through Live Retail Experience
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Management Sciences at SZABIST University Islamabad transformed its Academic Hall into a vibrant marketplace\, as students enrolled in the Trade Marketing course participated in a dynamic live retail experience that bridged classroom learning with real-world business practice. \nUnder the guidance of Sana Asad\, students managed every aspect of the retail journey—from product sourcing and route-to-market planning to developing Instagram-ready brand identities and executing customer engagement strategies. The activity provided participants with valuable hands-on experience in applying modern trade marketing concepts within a competitive retail environment. \nEach student-led stall featured professional visual merchandising techniques\, including eye-level product displays\, category blocking\, shelf talkers\, and price cards designed to influence consumer purchasing decisions at the First Moment of Truth (FMOT). Participants also incorporated behavioral marketing strategies such as scarcity and social proof to create authentic shopping experiences and better understand customer decision-making. \nDigital marketing played an equally important role in the activity. Students promoted their brands through targeted social media campaigns before the event to drive visitor engagement\, while QR codes placed at each stall enabled real-time customer feedback and performance evaluation. The integration of digital tools with traditional retail practices reflected the evolving landscape of modern trade marketing. \nThe live marketplace allowed students to experience the complete retail cycle—from attracting customers and building brand awareness to managing sales and evaluating consumer responses. The activity strengthened their practical understanding of merchandising\, branding\, consumer behavior\, and integrated marketing communications. \nThrough experiential learning initiatives such as this\, SZABIST Islamabad continues to equip students with industry-relevant knowledge\, practical business skills\, and entrepreneurial confidence\, preparing them to excel in today’s dynamic retail and marketing landscape.

SUMMARY:Brand Story Showcase Brings Consumer Behaviour Concepts to Life at SZABIST Islamabad
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Management Sciences at SZABIST University Islamabad hosted Brand Story\, an innovative theatrical showcase on\, where students of the Consumer Behaviour course transformed marketing concepts into engaging live performances. The event provided a unique experiential learning platform that combined creativity\, strategic thinking\, and consumer psychology. \nSupervised by Sana Asad\, students conceptualized\, scripted\, and performed original skits based on real-world branding challenges. From selecting globally and nationally recognized brands to developing characters and realistic marketing scenarios\, participants demonstrated how businesses make strategic branding decisions in today’s competitive marketplace. \nThe performances featured well-known brands\, including Spotify\, foodpanda\, Hico Ice Cream\, Shan Foods\, Cheezious\, and PakWheels. Students assumed the roles of brand managers and consumer strategists\, illustrating how brand perception\, emotional connections\, and psychological triggers influence consumer decision-making. \nEach presentation explored branding from two distinct perspectives. One series of skits portrayed strategic discussions within brand management teams\, highlighting the decision-making process behind marketing campaigns. The second followed consumers through their daily routines\, demonstrating how brands naturally become part of everyday experiences from morning to evening and shape purchasing behavior over time. \nParticipants were evaluated on the accuracy of marketing concepts\, creativity\, storytelling\, and their ability to articulate strategic insights during post-performance discussions. Beyond academic assessment\, the event fostered collaboration\, critical thinking\, communication\, and presentation skills while creating an engaging environment where theoretical knowledge was transformed into memorable real-world experiences. \nThrough experiential learning initiatives like Brand Story\, SZABIST Islamabad continues to empower students with practical marketing expertise\, preparing future business professionals to understand consumer behavior\, develop effective brand strategies\, and lead innovation in the evolving world of marketing.
