SUMMARY:MBA and EMBA Students Visit Haidri Beverages Rawalpindi for Supply Chain Management Learning
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Management Sciences at SZABIST University Islamabad organized an industrial visit to Haidri Beverages Rawalpindi  for students of MBA and EMBA (Supply Chain Management). The visit was designed to provide students with practical exposure to supply chain operations\, production management\, quality control systems\, and industry best practices. \nThe students received a warm welcome from the management team at Haidri Beverages. During the introductory session\, Ms. Ayesha\, Ms. Aeman\, and Ms. Mahnoor provided an overview of the organization’s history\, operational structure\, supply chain framework\, and sales and marketing strategies. The session enabled students to understand how effective supply chain management supports business performance and customer satisfaction. \nAs part of the visit\, students toured the production facility and observed the complete manufacturing process. Mr. Adnan delivered a detailed briefing on the end-to-end production cycle\, operational workflows\, and quality management practices implemented at Haidri Beverages. The hands-on exposure allowed participants to connect theoretical concepts learned in the classroom with real-world industrial applications. \nThe visit highlighted the importance of collaboration between academia and industry in preparing future business leaders and supply chain professionals. Students gained valuable insights into production planning\, logistics\, operational efficiency\, and quality assurance processes that contribute to successful manufacturing operations. \nThe initiative was highly appreciated by Shazia Akhtar\, Head of the Department of Management Sciences\, who emphasized the significance of experiential learning in enhancing students’ professional competencies and industry awareness. \nThe visit was conducted under the supervision of Omer Ijaz and reflects SZABIST Islamabad’s continued commitment to providing practical learning opportunities that bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry practice.

DESCRIPTION:The Department of Management Sciences at SZABIST University Islamabad organized an experiential learning activity for MBA and EMBA students enrolled in the Operations and Supply Chain Management course through an industrial visit to CSD Mega Lalkurti. \nThe visit was designed to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world business operations by providing students with firsthand exposure to retail supply chain management practices. Participants observed the practical dynamics of retail operations\, inventory management systems\, procurement processes\, and commercial activities within a large-scale retail environment. \nThrough direct interaction with industry professionals\, students gained valuable insights into how supply chain and operations management principles are applied to ensure operational efficiency\, product availability\, and customer satisfaction. The visit enabled participants to understand the strategic importance of inventory control\, procurement planning\, and effective retail management in achieving organizational success. \nDuring the session\, students explored key operational processes\, examined inventory management mechanisms\, and learned about procurement strategies that support business performance and sustainability. The experience helped them connect theoretical concepts discussed in the classroom with the practical challenges and decision-making processes faced by professionals in the retail sector. \nThe learning experience was enriched by the support and expertise of the CSD Mega Lalkurti management team. Special appreciation is extended to Col. Zafar (Deputy Director Commercial)\, Raja Rehan (Procurement Manager)\, and Javaid (Shop Manager) for sharing their professional knowledge and providing students with practical perspectives on commercial operations and supply chain management. \nThrough observation\, discussion\, and critical reflection\, students developed a deeper understanding of the complexities involved in managing retail supply chains and the critical role of operational excellence in achieving organizational objectives. \nThis industrial visit exemplifies the value of experiential learning and industry-academia collaboration\, reinforcing SZABIST Islamabad’s commitment to preparing future business leaders with the analytical\, managerial\, and decision-making skills required in today’s dynamic business environment.
