DESCRIPTION: SZABIST University Islamabad participated in a seminar on digital safety titled “The Road to Digital Safety: Combatting Technology-Facilitated Violence Against Women and Girls”\, organized in collaboration with the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI). Ms. Saba Butt\, Focal Person SDGs from the Faculty of Management Sciences\, along with EMBA and MBA students\, represented SZABIST University Islamabad at the event. \nThe seminar featured distinguished panelists including Ms. Fahmida Khan (UN Women)\, Ambassador (R) Naghmana Hashmi\, Dr. Syed Kaleem Imam (Former IG Police)\, Mr. Muhammad Akram Mughal (NCCIA)\, and Mr. Usman Zafar (UNDP)\, with moderation by Dr. Razia Safdar (SDPI). Discussions revolved around digital safety\, cyber well-being\, and strategies to combat technology-facilitated violence against women and girls. \nDuring the seminar\, SZABIST University Islamabad shared its approach to addressing gender-based violence through education\, highlighting dedicated class sessions on cyber safety\, responsible technology use\, and emerging challenges in digital spaces. The event offered valuable learning\, collaboration\, and awareness-building opportunities\, supporting SDG 4 (Quality Education)\, SDG 5 (Gender Equality)\, and SDG 16 (Peace\, Justice\, and Strong Institutions). \nSZABIST looks forward to continuing these meaningful dialogues and fostering safer digital environments for all.
