SUMMARY:BBA Experiential Learning Visit to Fauji Cement Company Limited
DESCRIPTION:The Department of Management Sciences at SZABIST Islamabad organized an industrial visit to Fauji Cement Company Limited on May 3\, 2025. The activity involved BBA 7th and 8th semester students specializing in Supply Chain Management and Marketing. \nMr. Shujjat Ali Khan\, Assistant Manager of Safety\, and the Fauji Cement management team welcomed the students. He shared an overview of the company’s history\, operations\, and safety culture. \nStudents explored supply chain and logistics processes\, learning how the company ensures smooth operations and maintains product quality. They also observed the quality control system\, which plays a key role in upholding production standards. \nDuring the tour\, students visited the production unit\, warehouse\, central control room\, and solar energy site. Each stop allowed them to see real-world applications of classroom concepts and industrial technology. \nThe visit built a strong link between academia and industry\, helping students connect theory with practice. It also deepened their understanding of supply chain efficiency\, sustainability\, and operational excellence. \nDr. Muhammad Asif Khan (Dean)\, Dr. Shazia Akhtar (HOD)\, and Dr. Shumaila Zeb (Program Manager BBA) praised the initiative for its hands-on approach. Mr. Omer Ijaz\, the course instructor\, led the tour and guided students throughout the visit. \nThrough such industrial experiences\, SZABIST Islamabad continues to prepare students for professional challenges by combining academic learning with practical exposure.
