DESCRIPTION:On April 19\, 2025\, the BBA Program at SZABIST University Islamabad hosted an engaging seminar titled “Bridging Theory and Reality: Practical Applications of AI and Machine Learning.” The session featured Dr. Hammad Tanveer Butt\, Head of Research Lab at NUST Islamabad\, an expert in Quantum Computing and Quantum Machine Learning with over two decades of professional experience. \nDr. Hammad delivered an insightful talk on how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are transforming global industries. He demonstrated real-world use cases\, particularly in the healthcare sector\, explaining how AI systems store and analyze patient data to enhance diagnosis\, treatment planning\, and operational efficiency. \nHe also discussed the ethical boundaries and limitations of AI\, emphasizing that technology’s effectiveness still relies heavily on data quality\, human oversight\, and responsible use. A major highlight of the session was a live demonstration of the Orange Data Mining app\, where students explored how AI models and clustering graphs operate in real time. Through interactive workflows\, participants gained a clearer understanding of machine learning concepts and their relevance in business. \nBy connecting theoretical knowledge with real-world examples\, this session helped students grasp the practical applications of AI and Machine Learning in modern business. Such exposure prepares BBA graduates to make data-driven decisions\, optimize operations\, and personalize customer experiences in an increasingly tech-driven landscape. \nThe event concluded with a shield presentation by Dr. Shujah\, followed by a group photo and networking session.
