DESCRIPTION:Experiential Learning Activity \nThe MBA program of SZABIST Islamabad aims to equip students with real industrial exposure besides formal knowledge. In continuation\, a guest session was organized on the 14th of May 2023. The guest speaker Mr. Hafiz Kashif Saleem (Director of Supply Chain in Abudawood) graced the occasion and teach the student about the latest Supply Chain practices and how these practices are helping in real life. Mr. Haroon Malik moderates the session and Dr. Muhammad Saeed Shahbaz makes all the necessary arrangements.

DESCRIPTION:A visit to National Assembly and Senate\n\n\n\nThe students of BBA-8 visited the National Assembly and Senate on Wed\, 17 May 2023. Staff at Parliament House received the delegation warmly and enthusiastically. The visit to Assembly and Senate was to witness the working of this noble house. Students visited both of the buildings. The respective authorities briefed them about the historic significance of the Parliament and Senate in legislation and other law-making including economy\, defense\, and foreign affairs along with a documentary. The students were shown the government and opposition benches. They also visited the historical Museum at Parliament House.\n\n\n\nOverall\, It was a very conducive visit.

SUMMARY:A visit to Pakistan Housing Expo
DESCRIPTION:A visit to Pakistan Housing Expo\n\nMS Project Management scholars of the SZABIST Islamabad campus visited Pakistan Housing Expo.  Dr. Muhammad Shafiq\, Assistant Professor Management Sciences Department was supervising the visit. Students visited stalls to learn about all the projects. Students were then divided into different groups to discuss in detail the specific projects. Specifically\, their earned value management\, uncertainties\, and adaptability were discussed. Students also developed their reports on the allocated projects. Prof. Dr. Zeb Khan Program Manager MS Project Management\, also attended the event. Students’ feedback was excellent as there was an abundance of knowledge and expertise available to learn and apply in the field.\n\n\nThese activities are necessary to develop students’ horizons for the practical field. These are the hallmark of the project management programs at the SZABIST Islamabad.

DESCRIPTION:BBA Experiential Learning Activity (Visit to Fauji Cement Company Limited)\n\n\n \n\n\nDepartment of Management Sciences organized an Industrial Tour for students of BBA 7 & 8 (Marketing / Supply Chain Management) to Fauji Cement Company Limited on 17th May 2023. Mr. Naveed Cheema (HOD – Safety) & Mr. Shujjat Ali Khan (Asst. Manager – Safety) along with the Management of Fauji Cement Company Limited warmly welcomed students and gave an introduction of Fauji Cement. They briefed students on the end-to-end operations cycle along with Supply Chain\, Quality & Logistics strategies adopted by Fauji Cement. Later\, the students visited production units\, the quality control laboratory\, and the central control room. Visit intended to emphasize the importance of knowledge sharing between Academia & Industry and was highly appreciated by Dr. Muhammad Asif Khan (Dean & HOD Management Sciences) and Dr. Shumaila Zeb (Program Manager BBA). The visit was conducted under the supervision of course instructor Mr. Omer Ijaz.
