SUMMARY:Trading on Pakistan Mercantile Exchange
DESCRIPTION:Online experiential activity was organized and hosted by Dr Shumaila Zeb for MBA Strategic Finance on 1st April 2021. Mr Irfan Kasan from Pakistan Mercantile Exchange joined the activity as guest speaker and shed the light on the role of Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Ltd (PMEX) in Pakistan. PMEX is the first technology driven\, web-based\, demutualized multi-commodity exchange in Pakistan and is owned by National Bank of Pakistan Limited (33.98%)\, Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited (28.41%)\, ISE Towers REIT Management Limited (17.76%)\, LSE Financial Service Limited (7.25%)\, Pak Brunei Investment Company Limited (6.80%)\, Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (2.90%)\, Pak Kuwait Investment Company Limited (2.90%)\, Individuals (0.0001%). Students fully participated in the activities and Mr Irfan Kasan answered the queries of students related to functions and trading procedures of Mercantile exchange.

SUMMARY:Why Do Company Pay Dividend?
DESCRIPTION:A seminar was arranged by Dr. Hassan Raza Assistant Professor SZABIST Islamabad for the MBA Strategic Finance. Dr. Safdar Ali Butt was invited as Guest Speaker who is a financial expert\, a senior corporate official\, a trainer\, an academician\, an author and an entrepreneur\, with having 26 years of industry and 30 year of teaching experience. Topic of discussion was “why do companies pays dividend?”. The Guest speaker shared his experience on how paying dividends allows companies to share their profits with shareholders\, which helps to thank shareholders for their ongoing support via higher returns and to incentive them to continue holding the stocks.

SZABIST-ISLAMABAD is persistently arranging endeavours to provide international exposure to our valuable students. \nIn continuation an International Webinar was held with numerous participants from multiple countries like Indonesia\, Malaysia\, China\, Thailand\, Pakistan and etc. The guest speaker Mej. Log. Ts. Chang Kah Loon (President\, the Society of Logisticians\, Malaysia (LogM) and Director\, AK Shipping\, Malaysia) bejewelled the occasion. Dr. Muhammad Saeed Shahbaz (Assistant Professor\, Department of Management Sciences\, SZABIST Islamabad moderate the event.
