DESCRIPTION:Commodity-based derivatives are traded on the Pakistan Mercantile Exchange (PMEX). An awareness session was arranged on 13th November 2019 for the students of Management Sciences. \nMuhammad Irfan Kasana Senior Manager PMEX was the guest speaker for the session. He has experience of more than 10 years in PMEX. The main purpose of the session was to give an insight of commodity trading in PMEX. He further elaborated on how students can effectively enter into the world of commodity trading and earn profits.

SUMMARY:Faculty training (Academic Planning and Management)
DESCRIPTION:Faculty development training was held on the topic of “Academic Planning and Management”. The central theme focused on Academic Planning and Management\, Strategic Process of Academic Planning and Strategic Management\, and Resource Management (with a focus on Time Management). \nThe interactive discussion centered around three major areas of responsibility of faculty members. These included teaching (and learning)\, research (applying and doing)\, and service (heading/leading a department\, leading or members of a team\, and serving the community\, etc.). To achieve excellence in education\, these three major areas have to be planned and managed in a way to achieve the requisite efficiency and effectiveness. Equitable and transparent rewards for faculty facilitate achievement excellence in these areas.
