DESCRIPTION:Forensic Psychology Students Visit to the Ministry of Human Rights – Child Protection Institute \nOn 26 December 2024\, as part of an academic exploration\, we had the opportunity to visit the Ministry of Human Rights’ Child Protection Bureau. During the visit organized by Dr Abdur Rashid\, the students of Clinical Psychology were given an overview of the ministry’s functions\, their achievements\, and future plans. \nThe session was highly engaging and offered valuable insights into their efforts to address critical societal issues.The participants were encouraged to share their perspectives and engage in\nmeaningful dialogue. The representatives were open to addressing their queries on topics such as child abuse\, domestic violence\, the rights of the transgender community\, and minority rights. This visit not only enriched their understanding of the ministry’s pivotal role in safeguarding human rights but also aligned seamlessly with the topics covered in the Forensic Psychology course. It was a truly informative and thought-provoking experience. \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Sustainable Environment Stewardship \nOn 26th December 2024\, an insightful seminar on Sustainable Environment Stewardship was held\, bringing together passionate minds from various disciplines. Students from BBA 6A – Social Advocacy and Community Services\, BBA 8A\, BSSS 4 – Development Studies\, and BSSS 6 – Research Methodology actively participated in this impactful event. \nThe seminar aimed to educate and inspire students to adopt sustainable practices and advocate for environmental conservation through collective efforts. \nDr. Abdul Razzak Khan\, a distinguished specialist in Climate and Disaster Change\, shared his profound insights on the interconnectedness of climate challenges and sustainable solutions. He emphasized the importance of proactive strategies in mitigating climate-related disasters and inspired the audience with real-world examples of resilience and innovation in environmental stewardship. \nThe seminar was organized by Dr. Iffat Rasool\, Head of the Community Services and Social Responsibility Society SZABIST University Islamabad \, in collaboration with the Research Group of BBA-8\, comprising Hamza Liaqat\, Abdullah Shujat\, Amna Sohail\, and Nargis Bashir. \n  \n
