DESCRIPTION:Protection against Harassment Session – SZABIST University Islamabad\n\n\n\nOn December 24\, 2024\, SZABIST University Islamabad proudly hosted an impactful session on Protection Against Harassment\, led by the distinguished Ms. Mahrukh Aziz Tarar\, retired Session Judge and Senior Legal Advisor at the Federal Ombudsman Secretariat for Protection Against Harassment (FOSPAH).\n\n\n\nThe main objective of the session was to educate the audience about their rights under the Protection against Harassment Act while equipping them with the understanding to recognize\, and address harassment\, within academic and professional environments. Ms Mahrukh Aziz shared the details of harassment laws and FOSPAH’s role in ensuring justice and provided step-by-step guidance on filing complaints and navigating the grievance process.\n\n\n\nThe session was organized by Dr. Shumaila Zeb in coordination with the students of BBA-8 A and Dr. Iffat Rasool\, Head of the Community Services and Social Responsibility Society. The students of BBA-3 A and BBA-6 A participated in the activity. The audience highly appreciated the session for its insightful content and practical approach.

This exposure to digital media can have both positive and negative consequences depending on how the media is consumed and how youth interact with it. Responsible use of media is crucial for fostering healthy development\, empowering young people\, and promoting positive cultural values.\n\n\n\nFor this purpose Dr. Ayesha Noor\, Faculty of Management Sciences and In charge QEC arranged an interactive session on “The Responsible use of Media in Shaping Modern Youth Culture” for the BBA “Oral Communication and Presentations Skills” class on 24th Dec\,2024. Ms. Farah\, a seasoned content writer and a professional expert in the fields of communication and digital marketing\, shared her thoughts as the speaker for this session. She talks about how media allows young people to explore and define their identities. They can engage with content that resonates with their interests\, beliefs\, and values. So media literacy is crucial and responsible use of media also requires the active involvement of adults\, parents\, educators\, and community leaders. When used responsibly\, media can be a powerful tool for positive change.\n\n
