DESCRIPTION:Misconceptions\, Promoting Awareness\, and Fostering an Inclusive Environment for Individuals with Down Syndrome – Seminar \nA seminar was conducted on October 23\, 2024\, for BS Psychology students with the aim of addressing misconceptions\, promoting awareness\, and fostering an inclusive environment for individuals with Down Syndrome. The seminar was facilitated by Ms. Qunoot Iftikhar\, Assistant Manager of Programs at KDSP (Islamabad). She actively engaged students in various interactive activities\, providing them with a deeper understanding of the importance of therapy for children with Down Syndrome. \nThe event was organized by Ms. Sana Mukhtar\, Program Manager for BS Psychology\, in collaboration with the Karachi Down Syndrome Program (KDSP)\, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting children and individuals with Down Syndrome. Established in March 2014 by a group of concerned parents and passionate individuals\, KDSP emerged as a response to the lack of adequate local resources and support for this community. \n
