DESCRIPTION:SZABIST Islamabad hosted a thought-provoking seminar titled “Social Cohesion and Diversity: A Youth-Led Approach to National Unity\, highlighting the critical role of youth in fostering national unity\, embracing diversity\, and strengthening democratic values. \nThe seminar featured distinguished guest speakers Mrs. Asiya Nasir\, Senior Parliamentarian and Executive Director; Mrs. Surraiya Asghar\, Former Parliamentarian and President; and Dr. Shazia Sobia Aslam Soomro\, Member of the National Assembly. The speakers shared valuable insights on peaceful coexistence\, inclusive citizenship\, and the importance of youth engagement in building a cohesive and resilient society. \nThe event was organized by Dr. Taraq Waheed\, Head of the Department of Social Sciences\, and Ms. Sana Mukhtar\, Program Manager BSSS/BS Psychology\, in collaboration with the Resilient Women Network. Students of BBA 2-A also participated under the supervision of Dr. Iffat Rasool\, Associate Professor. \nThis seminar aligned with key United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)\, including SDG 4 (Quality Education)\, SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities)\, SDG 16 (Peace\, Justice & Strong Institutions)\, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals)\, reinforcing SZABIST Islamabad’s commitment to social responsibility\, inclusive education\, and national development. \n

His real-world experiences offered valuable guidance to aspiring freelancers. \nThe seminar was well-received by participants and contributed to enhancing awareness about freelancing opportunities\, obstacles\, and career readiness. This event marked another successful academic and professional engagement by the Computer Science Department at SZABIST Islamabad.

DESCRIPTION:Undergraduate BBA students of SZABIST University Islamabad visited Pakistan’s iconic Women Entrepreneurship Conference (WECON 2025)\, held at the Pak-China Friendship Center\, Shakarparian Road\, Islamabad. The visit was conducted under the supervision of Professor Dr. Shazia Akhtar\, Head of the Department of Management Sciences\, along with Dr. Iffat Rasool and Ms. Saba Butt. \nWECON 2025 served as a powerful platform bringing together women entrepreneurs\, change-makers\, and public and private sector stakeholders to promote equity\, inclusion\, and innovation within Pakistan’s entrepreneurship ecosystem. The visit provided students with first-hand exposure to women-led enterprises and sustainability-driven business models that are empowering micro-entrepreneurs and small business owners across the country. \nThrough direct interaction with local women entrepreneurs\, students gained valuable insights into the challenges faced by women in business\, including access to finance\, limited professional networks\, and the need for skill development and institutional support. The discussions highlighted the importance of resilience\, mentorship\, and inclusive platforms in reshaping economic narratives. \nThe experience was particularly enriching for international students at SZABIST Islamabad\, who engaged deeply with Pakistani culture\, local craftsmanship\, and community-based enterprises. Many expressed motivation to promote gender-inclusive entrepreneurship initiatives in their home countries after completing their academic programs.
