DESCRIPTION:On August 9\, 2023\, the Department of Management Sciences at SZABIST University Islamabad launched a visionary faculty development initiative with its first session titled “Role Diversity of Faculty for Innovation.” The Faculty Innovation Workshop SZABIST Islamabad set the tone for a series of future-forward academic training sessions aimed at equipping faculty with new skills and perspectives. \nThis inaugural session was designed to promote dynamic teaching strategies and multidisciplinary approaches that support innovative learning. The workshop emphasized the evolving role of faculty in preparing students for an increasingly complex and rapidly changing global landscape. \nThe Faculty Innovation Workshop SZABIST Islamabad featured Dr. Hina Shahab\, Head of Department at NUML University\, as the guest speaker. She shared valuable insights on moving beyond traditional teaching roles and embracing flexible\, creative approaches in higher education. Dr. Shahab’s session highlighted the significance of role diversity\, cross-disciplinary learning\, and active participation in shaping innovation-oriented academic cultures. \nFaculty attendees were encouraged to reimagine their contribution not just as subject experts but also as innovators\, mentors\, and change agents. The workshop’s focus on adaptability and innovation supports SZABIST’s long-term mission of academic excellence and global relevance. \nThis initiative reflects SZABIST University’s commitment to transforming education through meaningful professional development and interdisciplinary collaboration.
