ZAB EXTRAVAGANZA is one of SZABIST Islamabad’s signature events to support students who plan to go solo in the marketplace.\n\n\n\nThe event showcased their marketing plans\, discover business start-ups and support services\, and access the latest marketing trends. The  Department of Management Sciences hosted\, a sophisticated platform designed for business students to gain a better understanding of key concepts in marketing and business behavior.\n\n\n\n Dr. Zoya Wajid and Mr. Syed Shahwar Hussain received outstanding appreciation from Mr. Khusro Pervaiz Khan (Head of Campus) along with Dr. Muhammad Asif Khan (Associate Dean) and Dr. Shumaila Zeb (Program Manager).

DESCRIPTION:PANEL DISCUSSION – “Navigating the Economic Landscape of PAKISTAN”\n\n\n\nBBA department  arranged a ‘Penal discussion’ session for its 8th Semester students of Pakistan Economy in its ‘Zab Entrepreneurship week’ on December 21\, 2023.\n\n\n\nDr. Arshad a renowned economist of the global economy and Mr. Kashif Joseph an entrepreneur were invited to grace the event. As a prolific scholar\, Dr. Arshad left an indelible mark on economic literature\, contributing groundbreaking research that has not only expanded the theoretical underpinnings of the discipline but has also offered practical insights applicable to real-world challenges.\n\nMr. Kashif Joseph as an entrepreneur has deep knowledge of digital space and holds expertise in Digital marketing advertising; and content management and is also an expert digital strategist with over 22 years of experience in the digital space while serving the government and private sectors. Kashif has been involved in mentoring and training over 200 Business startups in Pakistan and abroad.\n\n\n\nDr. Asif Dean Faculty of Management Sciences and BBA Program Manager Dr. Shumaila along with faculty Mrs. Asma Javed graced the event.\n\n\nThe event served as a source of inspiration and motivation for students\, vividly illustrating the tangible impact of economics on society.

Mehwish Shams\, Head of people and culture at Neem\, conducted an insights-rich & interactive session. The focus was on \n\n \nThe key takeaways from the session are:\n  : Mehwish explores emerging trends like the rise in digital integration\, increased reliance on automation & AI\, and the growing freelancing/gig economy.\n  & : Putting diversity\, equality\, and inclusion at the heart of digital transformation is crucial. Mehwish shared insights on distributed and digital workplace practices including utilising full digital toolkit\, frequent communication and connection points beyond work-related matters and many others.\n  : Mehwish shed light on topics including the rise of “glass-ceiling crushers” – representing women in leadership. She also addressed questions on productive job hunting\, interview preparations\, and the strategic use of AI in the hiring process.\n \nSZABIST Islamabad is actively committed to cultivatea culture of knowledge sharing and always look out for collaborative opportunities to enhance student’s learning & development.”
